We stopped to get a great view of the glacier and mountains. The walk was so icy that we had to slide our way around. Luckily, no one fell on the ice!!
Kinzi and Kenna had a great time sliding around on the ice!!
You can see the glacier behind us. The color is a very pretty light blue color. The bright blue color is created when the accumulated snow forces out any air bubbles, creating compressed ice crystals which absorb most colors of the spectrum but reflect blue. We thought it was also really neat to see all the floating pieces that have broken off of the glacier. Glaciers are an amazing sight to see!
